The month before last the hubs and I did something super together.
Super hard.
Super dirty.
Super sore.
Super fun.
So super I want to do it again!

Pre race I was excited & ready to go. Until I saw the course. I've recently began to enjoy running.
Short distances.
Short distances that are flat.
No hills or marathons.
30 minute running, preferably 20.
But I guess I should've known when I signed us up for a "mud run".
A three mile course.
Complete with tunnels to crawl through (I'm talking border crossing tunnels).
And mud pools pits. Mud in your eye, mud in your bra, mud in your mouth.
I punched it the first mile. And walked the other two.
I didn't expect hills. I hadn't practiced jumping in & out of tires.
And swinging from ropes across a mud pit wasn't in my training schedule.
But despite it all, it was great.
The seksi mex ran/walked with me. Didn't leave my side, gave me props.
Next year I'll do better, promise.


5k - i.e. 3.1 miles: 47 minutes. Not too shabby
